Softball tryouts took place last week on March 4 through March 6. Unlike last season, there will be a C team due to the amount of girls this year.

Varsity has eight returning players and three new players. The returning players are Ali Curlin, Grace Glass, Maggie Maguire, Megan Maher, Catherine Neuman, Carly Page, Molly Powers and Ruthie Snyder. The three new players are sophomore Rivkah Bunes, junior Sophia Colmenero and sophomore Sophia Flores.

The team’s record last year was 12 wins and 15 losses. This year they expect an overall record win at least 16 games because it is predicted that the four loses last year against Carmel, Guerin, Hamilton Southeastern and Perry Meridian will be wins this year. A sectional championship is also predicted.

There will be 11 home games and 16 away games. The North Central invite will be held on April 13 against Concordia Lutheran and Monroe Central. Sectionals are at Carmel High School but regionals and state will be determined later.
