Junior Stryker Swenson has been playing baseball for 10 years. He plays on the Indiana Canes travel baseball team and here at NC.

Swenson hopes to put in work in the weight room that will later pay off in his baseball career.

“I have been weight lifting for a year and a half,” Swenson said.

Swenson has dedicated much of his personal time to achieve his weight lifting goals and get better for the upcoming baseball season.

“I would like to be able to bench 255 and squat 330 before baseball season,” Swenson said.

Swenson believes that meeting these goals will improve his overall sports performance and  health.

“Since I have started weight lifting, I have noticed that I can hit the ball further and throw harder,” Swenson said.

Swenson’s performance in baseball has changed tremendously since starting weight lifting. He hopes to keep adding to this success in the weight room.

“I lift weights at NC, LA Fitness and my garage,” Swenson said.

Swenson lifts weights at a variety of places.

“My favorite part about the NC weight room is the variety of exercises available to athletes and the quality of the equipment,” Swenson said.

Swenson enjoys the amount of work he can put in at the NC weight room.

“Besides being in the weight room, I want to make sure my grades are good to prepare for this season,” Swenson said.
