Football team seeks rematch against Pike

Boys football wraps up their regular season with a record of three wins and six loses. They started their season off strong with two wins against Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers high school. They later went on to clinch a victory over Lawrence North at Homecoming in September.

“I feel the season went pretty good overall,” senior Mason McPheron said, “Not all of the results we were expecting, but still better than the past three or four years.” McPheron is an offensive lineman for the panthers, he also wrestles in the winter and plays rugby in the spring.

On Friday, the football team will compete against Pike high school in the first round of IHSAA Sectionals. During the regular season, the Panthers fell short of a win against the Red Devils, losing 45-28. The Red Devils finished off their season with a record of five wins and four loses.

“I’m excited we get the chance to get back at them after our tough loss,” senior Aren Agee said. Agee is a receiver for the panthers.
