The North Central boys’ basketball team has begun the season with a 2-1 record. A mixture of senior leadership and young talent has helped to lift the Panthers to success. The team began the season with a road loss to the fourth ranked Pike Red Devils. North Central began the game in a slump, allowing Pike to pull out to an early 16-4 lead. The Panthers showed grit and toughness though, closing the lead to four points before the end of the first quarter. The Panthers ended up losing by a score of 82-77. Freshman Eron Gordon led the way for North Central, scoring 31 points. The Panthers won their next two games by a combined 79-points.
